Weekly Reads

It’s a new week! Haaaaapy Monday. Hopefully this will mark the start of me actually posting on my schedule, and not randomly skipping (probably not let’s be real).

But nevertheless, welcome to a new week! Last week I got a new 5 shelf bookshelf, so I finally have one in my apartment. So woo!! But somehow it doesn’t fit all my books, so that’s upsetting. Or maybe I should just get rid of some lol.

Other than that, I finished 2 books last week! Making up for the week before where I read 0. I finished the new Avatar Kyoshi book, and a new favorite book which I’m not going to talk about until my review, because I don’t want to sound like a lunatic.

This week I don’t have any plans, I’m going to feel it out. Maybe I’ll read past chapter 1 of The Dragon Republic, maybe I’ll actually rad The Year of the Witching, or maybe I’ll pick up Mexican Gothic. Only time will tell lol.

What about you guys? Any big plans, or finish any amazing books?

  1. Yay for bookshelves!! That sucks when all the books don’t fit. I just got a new bookshelf too and I’m thinking I might need to go get another one haha.

As for amazing books, I finished Magic Lessons by Alice Hoffman this week which was just as beautiful as I thought it would be. I haven’t done a lot of reading this month in my attempt to accomplish NaNoWriMo, but I’m reading witchy books for writing inspiration.

Can’t wait to see which book you review as your new favourite! – Amber

  2. I feel the “posting on schedule” comment deep within my soul. For something that should be so simple, it sure brings forth an abundance of procrastination.

I love ATLA and LOK animated series but have yet to pick up one of the books. Would you recommend? I’m sure the Kyoshi one was fantastic!

At the moment I’m finishing up the Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson. Are you a fan?

  3. Ohhh yay new bookshelf!! That’s super exciting. Those all sound like great options. I enjoyed Mexican Gothic, not my usual genre but it was a really great book and I’ve read two by the author now and enjoyed both! I have Friday off work so I’m hoping to make some more progress in my Stormlight Archive reread and then start Dawnshard and Rhythm of War! And then I also need to read Dragon Republic and The Burning God and Ready Player Two comes out on Tuesday… so many good things!

  4. I really need to part with some books, my shelves are overwhelmed. This week I’m rereading The Night Circus, I’m enjoying it and trying not to feel too guilty for rereading a book instead of reading one of the many unread books on my shelves.
