Hey everyone, I decided since I always post on Fridays, I wanna switch it up. I’m going to alternate between a book tag, and Flashback Fridays (which is coming next week!) to try to make things more fun for all of us!
This week I saw the Finished Book Tag over on O. D. Book Reviews and I thought it looked like so much fun! If you want to do it, please do! I love seeing people’s answers to things.
So let’s get started!
Do you keep a list of the books you have read?
I keep an excel spreadsheet where I detail all the books I read, that I started in 2015. I try to use my Goodreads, but I tend to forget it and it’s hard to track quickly.
If you record statistics, what statistics do you record?
I actually track quite a bit. I track: what number it is (aka how many books I’ve read), title, author, date started and finished, year published, page number, genre, format of the book, star rating, new to me author, new or reread book.
Do you give star ratings for books and if so, what do you score books out of and how do you come about this score?
I’m actually planning on doing a post later on how I rate books, just because it’s not always the same. But I rate it on a 1-5 star scale, and allow half stars. I also DNF books, aka I’m not going to finish, rate, or keep the book.
Do you review books?
I try to review most of the books I read. If I have enough to say about a book, I’ll review it!
Where do you put your finished books?
Did I like it or hate it? If I liked the book and will reread it in the future, it goes onto my author organized bookshelves. If I hated it, it goes into a pile in the closet awaiting to be shipped off and out of my possesion.
How do you pick your next book?
Pretty cover. That’s it. If its extra pretty it gets read first lol.
Do you have any other rituals for when you have finished a book?
Honestly I either stare at it or drop it on the ground. I know *gasp* But some books deserve to be dropped out of site.
Honestly anyone that wants to do this! It’s always so hard to see if people have done this or not.
